My name is Farhiya. I have eight babies, and I used Ayan for doula services for my last child. The experience with my last child and past seven children was night and day.

 

I felt much more supported by my experience with the previous baby. This was the first time I used a doula because I never heard about doula services. Ayan met with me before I went into labor to learn more about myself, and she asked me many questions, like what I needed from me in the process, whether I wanted medication, and who I wanted in the room with me. When I went into labor, Ayan came to the hospital.

 

She took care of me, she supported me, and she spoke to the nurse and midwife when I was in too much pain and was able to speak for myself. After labor, Ayan stayed with me and my child until we were switched to a labor and delivery room. I felt so comfortable and thiswas the first time I had someone there to take care of me, usually I am the one who is doing all the caretaking. Ayan was AMAZING! I am so happy with my experience.

 

I am pregnant again and will use Ayan again as my doula. I lost her number and called so many people to

find her to ensure she could be my doula. Thank Allah, I found her, and she said yes to support me again.
