Premier Perinatal and Maternal Care

Our Mission

Ayan Maternity Health Care Support provides premier perinatal and maternal care. Our commitment lies in helping pregnant women and new mothers who confront social and economic challenges, or those experiencing hardships. We cater to women with disabilities, new African immigrants, refugees, and low-income families, ensuring crucial care for those with limited access to the conventional healthcare system.

Become a Doula—Empower Mothers, Save Lives!

Too often, pregnant and birthing mothers—especially women of color—are dismissed, patronized, and unheard in the healthcare system, denied the dignity and care they deserve. Doulas are the solution. By providing advocacy, emotional support, and guidance, doulas help ensure safer, more empowered birth experiences—reducing complications and saving lives.

Join Ayan Maternity’s Doula Training Workshops and become a champion for maternal health. Gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to support mothers through labor, delivery, and post-birth recovery. Whether you’re passionate about birth work or looking to make a meaningful difference in your community, this training is for you!

Our Vision

Free Services

Ayan Maternity provides perinatal and maternal services in King County by providing birth doulas, postpartum doulas, breastfeeding/lactation support, connection to other social services, and childbirth education and parenting classes, Daddy workshops and Community Maternal Education Class. The services are essential for better birth outcomes, to reduce maternal and infant health inequities, and for better treatment of women, particularly women of color.

Improved Birth Outcomes

Mothers matched with a doula also have better birth outcomes. Doula-assisted mothers were four times less likely to have a low birth weight (LBW) baby, two times less likely to experience a birth complication involving themselves or their baby, and significantly more likely to initiate breastfeeding.
